Phoenix Hotel Subsidy


When the City of Phoenix decided to subsidize a third downtown convention hotel, Ramras Law Offices was retained by the Crowne Plaza Hotel Phoenix Downtown and a state legislator to challenge the constitutionality of the City’s subsidy.

The firm obtained a summary judgment against the City which was represented by an international law firm, and our client was also awarded attorney’s fees because the Judge found that the ruling benefitted the public in general and thus our clients essentially acted as a “private attorney general.”
